Vintage and Rare Cuban Posters Come To Auction

MINNEAPOLIS - May 25, 2019 - PRLog -- Rare Political and film silkscreen posters come to auction from PashCo Posters.  These rare posters were made by some of the most famous poster artists of the 80's including Eduardo Muñoz Bachs, Emeria, Nestor and others.  The film posters advertise important works by Rebeca Chavez, Estela Bravo and others.  Most of these are silkscreen posters with heavy ink coverage and fantastic colors.

How do you get cuban posters out of Cuba ?  It's not easy, but in the 1980's it was not only difficult but damn near impossible,  Unless of course, you are an educator.  Some 35 years ago, in the early 80's our collector was an educator and scholar and traveled the world.  During some of the most alarming of political times, our collector traversed the halls of universities, museums and print shops, scouring the landscape for film, political and entertainment posters.  Once found, they were carefully packed and transported to the USA where they were stored in flat files in an environmentally controlled vault for 30+ years.  Only to be released for this auction !
