GILBERT, Ariz. - May 22, 2019 - PRLog -- HDScores has added a fun new feature in the form of emoticons to their health inspection scores app making it that much easier for consumers to be proactive concerning food safety issues. Users can now get a green light on clean environments at a glance and instantly know when to give a place a pass because of critical violations of FDA regulations. The public health inspection scores app. now has three immediately recognizable emoticons that appear in the upper right of their screen if problems with food safety have been discovered.

The goal of HDScores is to provide consumers with factual information about the cleanliness of restaurants, concession stands, daycare centers assisted living facilities, hospitals, corporate cafeterias, and anywhere else that serves food. Customers can already access previous health inspection reports for each business, and now they can see at a glance if an establishment they're considering visiting or if their local daycare center or nursing home has a checkered history with food safety.

Emoticons with X's over the eyes appear if the establishment has previous violations concerning cross-contamination. If rodents or insect pests have been discovered to be part of the picture and have been documented as such by a local health inspector, a rat emoticon appears. If the eatery has caused a foodborne illness such as listeria, salmonella, hepatitis, etc., the emoticon will feature a green face will appear. Those with weakened immune systems due to illness, age, or pregnancy find this emoticon particularly useful.
