Follow on Google News | Pet Professional Guild opens applications window for 2019 scholarshipsUnder the program, eligible candidates can now apply for opportunities to further their force-free education
By: Pet Professional Guild Full, associate, and provisional PPG, PPGA and PPGBI members across all training and pet care specialties are deemed eligible scholarship applicants, provided they are a current member and in good standing for a minimum of 12 months. PPG must receive scholarship applications between April 5 and May 5, 2019 via the form located on its website (https://petprofessionalguild.com/ Since the Education Scholarship Program was launched in 2017, successful applicants have undertaken education at Peaceable Paws Academy in Fairplay, Maryland; The Academy for Dog Trainers in Emeryville, California; DogNostics Career Center (online); Behavior Works (online); and the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior in Durham, North Carolina. Meanwhile, educational organizations that are current PPG members, educational providers, or corporate partners are eligible to apply for the inclusion of their educational facility in the Education Scholarship Program. Education can be online, in person, or a hybrid. Opportunities are also available for organizations to in part or fully sponsor a scholarship program and thereby benefit from a range of marketing opportunities with PPG, including a variety of advertising and marketing opportunities across PPG's wide range of media platforms and vendor discounts at PPG educational events. "Since the inception of the PPG Education Scholarship program in 2017, we have repeatedly been complimented by participating educational providers on the high caliber of the candidates we provide and I have no doubt that 2019 will provide many more," said PPG president, Niki Tudge. "Via this program, I look forward to supporting more pet professionals being able to get out into the public domain and help more pets and their families via the use of force-free, non-aversive training methods and equipment.
