Battle of the Chefs presented by Batta | Fulkerson

SAN DIEGO - April 3, 2019 - PRLog -- Battle of the Chefs Presented by Batta | Fulkerson to benefit the It's All About the Kids® Foundation will be held on April 14, 2019, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Banker's Hill Club.

It's also the 15th Anniversary for It's All About the Kids®, so what better way to celebrate an Anniversary than by having a Chef Battle of the Year!

Chef Aleko Achtipes of Meze and GBOD Hospitality Group will battle Chef Marcel Childress of Rustic Root and RMD Group in an Iron Chef-like competition. Each team creates 5 dishes in one hour, with the secret ingredients from the It's All About the Kids® Food Pantry and event partners. Restaurant partners will also compete in the People's Choice and Best Taste competition.

Judges include Taja V. Simpson and past competitors Chef Christopher Gardner and Kassim Osgood, formerly with the San Diego Chargers.  The MC host for the event is the fabulous Melissa Mae.  Entertainment by DJ Scott Roberts with violinist Melissa Barrison.

Guests will enjoy tastings and food for sale from San Diego's best restaurants, silent auction, raffle and cash bar. All tickets, raffle and auction proceeds - 100% will be invested in the It's All About the Kids® Foundation and the Feed The Kids Food Pantry.
