Blake C. Goldring will receive the Communication and Leadership (C&L) Award at the District 60 Toastmasters annual conference on Saturday, April 13, 2019. The award will be presented during the C&L lunch at 11:30 am at the BMO Institute for Learning, 3550 Pharmacy Avenue, Scarborough. A distinguished Canadian business leader, philanthropist and entrepreneur, this year's recipient Blake C. Goldring will speak about how the words Many Ways to Serve have inspired his career in the financial services industry and his community leadership. Every year, District 60 Toastmasters awards the Communication and Leadership Award to a non-Toastmaster who is an outstanding leader and communicator and has made a substantial contribution to the community. As a long-standing participant and advocate for the Canadian financial industry and broader community, Mr. Goldring generously supports a variety of charitable organizations predominantly in his community. In 2006, he founded Canada Company: Many Ways to Serve to ensure Canadian military members, their families, and veterans receive the support, care, and recognition they deserve. Among its many initiatives, Canada Company provides scholarships to children of the Fallen. In 2018, Mr. Goldring was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada recognizing his support of Canada's Military and his contributions to Canadian society and business as a whole.
