Dr. Amy L. Stark Debuts New Children's Book The Fairy Godmother Helps the Monarchs

LONG BEACH, Calif. - April 1, 2019 - PRLog -- Being aware, helping nature, and being of service to others are the messages and lessons in The Fairy Godmother Helps the Monarchs, a new illustrated children's book by California clinical psychologist and author Amy L. Stark. The public is welcome to attend a book signing reception on Friday, April 12, 4 to 6 p.m. at Bungalow Bay, 6457 E. Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, in conjunction with the launch of the Brighton butterfly collection of jewelry, handbags, shoes and more.

The Fairy Godmother Helps the Monarchs is the third in a series of fairy godmother books written by Stark. "The fairy godmother explains to two little girls living next door that she is working in her fairy garden," said Stark, "and the girls ask if they can invite their friends and help her."

While exploring the garden, the children learn about the plight of the monarch butterfly and what to do to help them survive. The story also includes a heart-warming relationship with the fairy godmother's two dogs.

"By helping nature, this is how children learn to be of service in the future," Stark explained. "The monarch butterfly is in trouble and we need to help. I am hoping this magical story will inspire butterfly gardens everywhere, along with teaching children to look around and see what they can do to help out."

The Fairy Godmother Helps the Monarch is illustrated by Marvin Alonso. Beautiful, full-color illustrations bring the story to life. The book is priced at $9.99 and available at amazon.com.
