HYDERABAD, India - March 11, 2019 - PRLog -- Global Tree Careers Pvt. Ltd.The government of Australia has announced the introduction of a new visa agreements that is expected to support the aged community from diverse cultures of the country. Mr. David Coleman, the Immigration Minister of Australia, unveiled the new labour agreement, which would greatly be of benefit to aged patients and geriatric care-takers in a news brief on Thursday.

As per the newly minted agreement, pertaining to the aged care sector, the government would now permit facilities that provide geriatric and hospice care to sponsor international workers in the sector for Australia immigration, provided they have the necessary skills and training that is required to care for elderly patients. This would be applicable even if the occupation of aged care is not currently in the list of eligible occupations. Mr. David Coleman stated that there is a need for aged carers from abroad who are bilingual and can speak the language of the person they are caring for. As such it is imperative to bring in carers from different cultures and backgrounds. The new visa rule will help aged care facilities to hire the best suited staff according to their needs and assist in providing the best care to the patients who need it the most.

As per the new agreement, companies which provide geriatric and hospice care will now be able to sponsor workers from countries such as India and China for Australia immigration (https://globaltree.in/services/immigration/australia/) via a Temporary Skills Shortage visa or alternatively through the Employer Nomination Scheme Visa. However, one clause is that the employers will have to demonstrate their inability to find suitable workers with the required skill sets and training from the pool of Australian citizens and permanent residents, before they can apply to sponsor foreign workers for the purpose. The new visa agreement will come into effect from 11th March 2019 and will also provide the workers with a pathway to permanent residency.

This is indeed good news for Nurses and care-takers of elderly patients who are hoping for an opportunity to immigrate to Australia and settle there for a better life. The new visa rule is also expected to benefit many elderly patients and aged persons of Indian origin, as it has been found that many aged patients or those with dementia revert to the use of their native language on account of dementia.
