Australia Immigration – New Visa Agreement for Aged Care Workers

As per the new agreement, companies which provide geriatric and hospice care will now be able to sponsor workers from countries such as India and China for Australia immigration (https://globaltree.in/services/immigration/australia/) via a Temporary Skills Shortage visa or alternatively through the Employer Nomination Scheme Visa. However, one clause is that the employers will have to demonstrate their inability to find suitable workers with the required skill sets and training from the pool of Australian citizens and permanent residents, before they can apply to sponsor foreign workers for the purpose. The new visa agreement will come into effect from 11^th March 2019 and will also provide the workers with a pathway to permanent residency.
