is a robotic complex for automatic diagnosis and maintenance of high-voltage overhead power lines. The system's operating principle is the following: the "Kanatohod" device takes off from the ground station, places itself on the power line or lightning protection cable and automatically moves from one substation to another, collecting and processing information about the state of the object, later forming lists of deficiencies, generating recommendations and evaluating the volumes of the repair work required for the power line the system is working on.

In September, 2018, the developers presented the basic technology and software for the "Kanatokhod"
in Dubai, at one of the facilities of DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority). Recently it was also presented during the Innovation Week in Dubai. An invitation to take part in the event was a result of the successful pilot project in cooperation with DEWA, a state company providing water and power supply in Dubai.
The Emirate of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and DEWA CEO HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer visited the "Kanatokhod"
"We are planning to sign a comprehensive agreement with DEWA. It will include arrangements regarding the pilot project of integrated monitoring and data analysis, creating the largest UAE city's digital power supply system and opening a service company for electrical grid maintenance in Dubai and Middle East," Alexander Lemekh, says the Director of UrFU "Laboratory of the Future".
