PRLog -- The word "fika" is used as both a noun and verb, and is derived from the Swedish word for coffee. The Swedish coffee break is a moment to literally leave work behind,. Taken at 3 in the afternoon, it's not a strategy for multi-tasking, or for fitting in another mini-meeting;
it's a chance to relax in the company of colleagues and friends. The key is to pause your day.
This is the premise for a new half hour radio talk show called "Fika with Annika". Hosted by Swedish born Annika Knoppel, Knoppel is a long time resident of Southern California. She will be interviewing local people from the rural areas, primarily Anza, Aguanga, Sage and Idyllwild. Employing a casual interview style, the local talent and subjects will vary from homesteading, vintage cars, loom weaving, paranormal, gardening, native flora, entrepreneurship and much, much more. So brew up some coffee, grab a seat and embrace fika.
The program is aired on 97.1 LPFM, in Anza, CA and simultaneously live streamed on the radio station's website
