The Documentary 'I Learned It From You' Selected to Compete in 2019 Global Indian Film Festival

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Feb. 19, 2019 - PRLog -- 'I Learned It From You' the documentary, produced, written, and directed by Kevin Douglas Wright, was recently selected to compete in the 2019 Global Indian Film Festival in Mumbai, India.

"First of all, I would like to give another sincere 'thank you' to the organizers of the Global Indian Film Festival. I am truly happy that my film was an Official Selection and made an impact so, so, very far away from the United States of America," Wright began.

"My documentary touches on many different issues that challenge everyone in America, but no matter which country you are from this film should impact you in a very memorable way."

'I Learned It From You' explores the lives of six, randomly selected people and the film allows you to make your own decision about which issues need the most attention in today's world.

Wright added, "My film is a documentary, but I used extreme amounts of creativity to gently shine a light on many different issues."

"It has been said that the pain from some issues can still be felt today even though the events happened 40, 50, or 60 years ago."

The title of the documentary, 'I Learned It From You', can be viewed as an open-ended and thought-provoking way to ease into such challenging issues.

Wright detailed, "In most situations, there are those who 'received pain' and then there can be those who 'caused pain'… knowingly and unknowingly."

"In other words, a person can cause pain without knowing they are causing pain and it's possible for a person to cause pain on purpose. I addressed these situations in the most creative way possible. Keep in mind these issues run very, very deep."
