New flexible lateral flow Smartphone reader App developed

YORK, U.K. - Dec. 20, 2018 - PRLog -- Abingdon Health, a specialist in the development and manufacture of rapid diagnostic tests and readers, has launched a customisable Smartphone lateral flow reader suitable for integration with existing assays or assays requiring development.

The new App, which is called AppDx, combines flexible and connective mobile phone technology to provide a rapid analytical testing solution for use in any testing location, enabling rapid decision making.

Meeting individual test requirements

On more and more occasions diagnostic and testing experts are demanding that lateral flow assays produce semi-quantitative or quantitative data, or that qualitative data is substantiated by the use of a reader in order to make sure test results are relayed accurately. In addition, this functionality aids professionals in decision making and helps them to form a greater insight into lateral flow assay test results.
