We are wrapping up a monumental year of success and growth at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center in Lebanon. Serving people with excellence is our passion and we look for new ways to improve quality of life for our residents and make meaningful personal connections with them every day. Our facility has been an outstanding choice for both Long-term Skilled Nursing/Memory Care and Short-term Rehabilitation/Therapy services for over 50 years. This year we overcame adversity and reached important landmarks on our journey to becoming the premier choice for receiving skilled care in Central Pennsylvania in some unique ways. Here are some of the highlights from 2018:

•Cedar Haven improved quality of care for our residents… again.

We were awarded 100% deficiency-free status on care-related survey items for the second time in three years and the few dietary deficiencies we received were corrected to the satisfaction of the Department of Health.

•Cedar Haven improved consistency of care and personal relationships.

Familiar faces and personal connections are very important to us. We expanded our skilled team by hiring 175 new staff members and training them to provide the highest-quality care possible for our residents. As a result, we have almost completely eliminated the use of agency staff.

•Cedar Haven improved compensation for our dedicated team.

We launched the T.E.A.M. (Team, Effort, Achievement, Money) Performance Compensation Program for our dedicated staff and offered improved wages, benefits, and perks.

These achievements could not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of our exceptional team. We have many exciting improvements on the horizon.
