A brief review of Russia's trade with European countries in the 3rd quarter of 2018 The share of European countries in Russia's total trade (exports and imports) rose from 50.15% in the 3rd quarter of 2017 to 51.24% in the 3rd quarter of 2018. The share of European countries in Russia's total exports rose from 52.27% in the 3rd quarter of 2017 to 53.96% in the 3rd quarter of 2018. The share of European countries in Russia's total imports declined from 47.17% in the 3rd quarter of 2017 to 46.13% in the 3rd quarter of 2018. The major trading partners of Russia in Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2018: - The top ten Russia's trade partners in Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were Germany (8.6847% of Russia's total foreign trade), the Netherlands (6.3514%), Belarus (4.8437%), Italy (4.1171%), Poland (3.1145%), France (2.3560%), Ukraine (2.1391%), the United Kingdom (2.1182%), Finland (2.0495%), and Belgium (1.5135%); - The top ten Russia's export markets in Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were the Netherlands (8.9820% of Russia's total exports), Germany (7.4557%), Belarus (4.8765%), Italy (3.9426%), Poland (3.5990%), the United Kingdom (2.4271%), Finland (2.4135%), Ukraine (2.0628%), Belgium (1.7998%), and France (1.6823%); - The top ten Russia's import suppliers from Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2018 were Germany (10.9878% of Russia's total imports), Belarus (4.7822%), Italy (4.4442%), France (3.6183%), Ukraine (2.2820%), Poland (2.2066%), the Czech Republic (1.5594%), the United Kingdom (1.5393%), Spain (1.4937%), and the Netherlands (1.4220%). The most notable changes in Russia's trade with the countries of Europe in the 3rd quarter of 2018 over the 3rd quarter of 2017: - The share of the United Kingdom in Russia's total exports declined from 2.9758% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 2.4271% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018; - The share of Croatia in Russia's total exports rose 2.1-fold from 0.1369% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.2938% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018; - The share of Finland in Russia's total imports declined from 1.6776% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 1.3673% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018; - The share of Belgium in Russia's total imports declined from 1.3431% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 0.9771% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018; - The share of Romania in Russia's total imports rose from 0.6683% in the 3rd quarter of the 2017 to 1.0103% in the 3rd quarter of the 2018.
