Thompson Organization Donates Coats to Local Children in Need

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Nov. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- On Tuesday, October 16^th, The Thompson Organization delivered 180 new winter coats to Tabor Children's Services in Doylestown and Bucks County Children and Youth Social Services in Furlong. The coats are part of the Driving Away the Cold campaign organized by the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation and Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia. Since its inception in 2008, the program has distributed over 367,000 new coats to children in need.

"We are proud to have participated in the Driving Away the Cold program for the past nine years," said John Thompson, Vice President of The Thompson Organization. "It's truly a humbling experience to have the opportunity to touch the lives of local children in need."

Bucks County Children and Youth Social Services Agency provides a variety of services to local children and families which aim to strengthen and promote family life and stability. "The coat delivery came just at the right time this year," explained Roxanne Watkins-Hall, Foster Parent and Volunteer Recruiter. "Our clients are so thankful for the Driving Away the Cold CARing for Kids Foundation who provides them with warm coats during this fall season.

Also, it gives us social workers a warm feeling when we see the excitement on the child's face when we deliver it to them."

With locations in Doylestown and Philadelphia, Tabor Children's Services is a multi-service child welfare agency that serves children, youth, young adults and families. As Monqiue L. Gaillard, Public Relations and Business Development Manager simply stated, "every child has the right to be safe, be loved and be warm."
