The Legendary Jazz Pianist & Vocalist William Green Debuts New Christmas EP in Time for the Holidays
"Christmas with You" was written, produced, composed and arranged by Green. Danielle Lewis, an up-and-coming singer, performed background vocals.
"My goal with this recording is to not only entertain families this holiday season, but to spread love and peace," he explains. "I hope that my fans get a sense of hope, love of friends and family, as they listen to these two songs," says Green. "The music was easy to write. The lyrics required me to reconnect to my childhood experiences during Christmas."
In addition to Green's brilliant song, "Christmas With You", Green puts his personal musical arrangement on "This Christmas", a remake of Donny Hathaway & Nadine McKinnor's mega hit. Delina Brooker, also an Atlanta up-and-coming singer, performed background vocals. "This Christmas" is the most popular contemporary soul and R&B song in the Christmas song repertoire,"
The music is sure to appeal to the entire family. Green's fans can order the singles from CD Baby (http://store.cdbaby.com/
Green, a full-time musician, composer, songwriter and producer, is a native of Chicago, but has made Atlanta his home. "I pride myself on creating timeless music that can be shared with the world for a lifetime. It's important to me to create timeless music because of recognizing the lack of musical integrity that now exists in the music industry," says Green. He has written and produced for numerous artists.
Green's impressive artistry has afforded him the opportunity to write and produce four CDs: his debut CD, "Magic Dream" (2004); "Green Valley" (2006); "Music 4 Life" (2010) and "Mind Rush" (2018). The sophomore CD, "Green Valley", featured multi-Grammy, award-winning Jazz artist Boney James on the track, "Lakeshore Drive". Green released his fourth CD, "Mind Rush", this summer (Magic Dream Records).
