By: Brainstorm 3000 EBH, founded by Edward Becerra, has participated and/or donated nearly 87,000 FREE books in 251 events since May 2015. Their goal is to put FREE books in the hands of our children to promote and increase reading levels as a means to improving lives. Their focus is on elementary schools in North County San Diego where they have participated in 30% of the elementary schools along the 78 corridor - from Oceanside to Valley Center. This is the second time Ramona has contributed books to this worthy organization. Her titles have garnered a National Parenting Publication's ( NAPPA) Gold Award, NAPPA Honors Award, two International Latino Book Awards, and two International Book Awards. Ramona's books celebrate different cultures and bridge generations. Ramona has written and published seven children's books and is currently working on a bilingual book for adults addressing mental illness. She lives in Goleta, CA with her husband of 40 years, works for the local Mental Wellness Center, and can often be found hiking the back trails of Santa Barbara for exercise and pleasure.
