The Stouts Join Faculty of Ashford University
The new College of Doctoral Education was formed after The University of the Rockies recently received permission from the U.S. Department of Education and WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) to merge with Ashford University. The Stouts had taught a variety of Psychology related Masters and Doctoral level courses online for the University of the Rockies since 2009 for Dallas and 2010 for Debbie. They also served on a variety of student Doctoral Dissertation Committees. The final step in this transition will be Ashford University becoming a non-profit University. The Stouts will continue to teach a variety of graduate courses in Clinical Psychology and Industrial Organizational Psychology as well as Non-Profit Principles, Practices, Governance and Finance among other topics at Ashford University.
The Stouts have been members of the faculty at California State University Fullerton since 2006 for Debbie and 2007 for Dallas. They teach a variety of Child Development, Psychology and Counseling courses at the undergrad and graduate level. Dr. Dallas Stout has been invited previously to teach at The University of California, Irvine at both the undergrad and graduate level. He holds a national certification in online class design and teaching from Quality Matters (QM). Both Stouts hold similar certifications from The California State University.
When not teaching at the University, the Stouts use their experience to assist a variety of non-profit programs in Southern California thru DoctorS Nonprofit Consulting which they co-founded in 2004. The Stouts have also served on the Board of Directors for a variety of local, Countywide and Statewide programs for a variety of social issues, mostly related to youth and they continue that service today.
The Stouts hold Master's degrees as well as Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University where they both graduated with special recognition.
Ashford University traces its roots back to the founding of the Mt. St. Claire Academy in 1893 in Clinton, Iowa. Today the University is comprised of 6 Colleges but is probably best known for their innovative Forbes School of Business and Technology.
