By: Indiana Blood Center, part of Versiti The event starts at 3 p.m. Nov. 16 at Indiana Repertory Theatre, located at 140 W. Washington St. in downtown Indianapolis. Until 6:30 p.m., those who donate will receive a ticket to select IRT's "A Christmas Carol" performances and a 25 percent discount on the purchase of up to four tickets. The production, an Indianapolis family tradition that celebrates the power of human kindness and love, runs Nov. 17-Dec. 26. Supporters of Indiana Blood Center who cannot donate blood at this time can receive their complimentary ticket and discount by bringing much-needed items to IndyHumane or the Salvation Army. Appointments are required to donate blood at Scrooge Gives Back and can be made by calling 317-916-5150 or online. Anyone 16 or older in good health who meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Parental consent is required for donors age 16 to give. The donation process takes about an hour. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes their birth date.
