SphinxCon Hits Atlanta With a Smash

ATLANTA - Oct. 31, 2018 - PRLog -- For the first time ever, SphinxCon will be gracing Atlanta on November 2-4, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza at the Atlanta Airport. The convention is a nod to great authors and science fiction and military fans alike. The event offers an up close and personal event for fans of sci-fi and military fiction to come in and mingle and listen to lectures and events with their favorite masters of the quill.

Who Should Attendees Expect to See?

David Gerrold is one of the leading guests of honor with a long list of author and screenwriting credits to his name. Some of his credits include, Star Trek, "The Trouble With Tribbles" "The Cloud Minders"), Star Trek Animated("More Tribbles, More Troubles" and "Bem"), Babylon 5 ("Believers"), Twilight Zone ("A Day In Beaumont" and "A Saucer Of Loneliness"), Land Of The Lost("Cha-Ka," "The Sleestak God," "Hurricane," "Possession," and "Circle"), Tales From The Darkside ("Levitation" and "If The Shoes Fit"), Logan's Run ("Man Out Of Time"), and others.

Gerrold also creating an amazing work in the story of his son's adoption which was turned into a movie with Joan Cusack and Amanda Peet.

Attendees can also mingle with David Weber, who is a prominent author and is best known for his Honor Harrington Series, Safehold Series, and Dahak Trilogy. Weber began writing when he was in 5^th grade and has been telling stories ever since. He has written in almost every single genre and creates characters of dimension as well as of amazing gender and depth. His most popular character is Honor Harrington who has been adapted through 19 novels as well as into 22 titles.

Stephanie Osborn another special guest is the author of the Division One Series, the Displaced Detective Series, and the Retired Rocket Series. There are not many authors out there that have the kinds of credentials that this lady has. Osborn is a veteran with over 20 years in the space programs as well as she has been a part of many of the defense programs. She has worked on many flights and has actually trained astronauts. Osborn has a degree in astronomy, physics, chemistry and mathematics. Osborn is also a police officer and is known for her love of storm spotting.

Special Guest Jonathan P. Brazee is a retired US Marine Colonel as well as is author of the "United Federation Marine Corps. Brazee works as a full time writer in the Vegas area. He started writing in 1978 and since then has continued to write on many subjects. Brazee had time while serving in Iraq in 2006 to write his first novel which is, "The Few". The book had limited success until it was put out as an e book and his sales took off overnight. He has over 55 titles out there and has been nominated for a Nebula Award.

Featured Guest Chris Kennedy is also a bestselling author who has written across many genres. He has written over 15 books and has worked on stories like "Occupied Seattle", "The Theogony" and "Codex Regius" he continues to be a prolific author. Kennedy has authored over 35 books and will continue to put out more amazing work in the future.

Featured Guest Mark Wandrey is located in Tennessee and has been writing fiction his entire life. He became a professional writer in 2004 when he published Earth Song. He has written more than 10 books and 6 of those are best sellers.
