Melissa English Joins the Cast of the Blood Passion

ATLANTA - Dec. 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Melissa English met Jim Valente by a strange twist of fate on Facebook. Melissa saw his work and realized that Jim had a real talent for telling a great story, an author herself she was drawn to his work. Melissa always had a thing for vampire lore and had been reading Anne Rice since the age of 9. Melissa commented, "The work of Jim is so different. Instead of looking at the vampires as a refined and dapper individual, Jim looks at them as serial killers. It is amazing to strip away the romance and see what is beneath." Melissa decided when she saw Jim's work to reach out to him and see how she could assist in production, marketing, and writing with the project.

Jim having a sense of humor thought it would be fun to have Melissa cast as the mother of Michael Valente in a few different scenes. Melissa is experienced in front of and behind the camera. She likes both roles and was excited Jim wanted to ask her to play this part.

Melissa's journey into entertainment happened in a most precarious way. She was on assignment for work in Mexico when she met a man who had been convicted of a murder he did not commit. She wrote a book about the situation on the 30^th anniversary of his imprisonment and decided to write a screenplay. After writing that screenplay she went to Hollywood and started talking with friends of friends and pitching her work until she found a production company who was interested. Melissa has been a part of many productions over the years and looks forward to continuing that work.

Valente of Boston, Massachusetts born James Michael Valente in 1952 is a first time published author with his Modern Gothic Horror, BLOOD PASSION series, with Book I published and released in 2010, Book II of his series was published and released in 2014, Book III has been published and released in the spring of 2018: Book IV, which will initiate the series into a saga is, as of this release, under construction.
