Arcelik using UltraFlex induction solutions to increase productivity

RONKONKOMA, N.Y. - Sept. 20, 2018 - PRLog -- UltraFlex Power Technologies – manufacturer of the most innovative digitally controlled induction heaters in the industry – has announced the results achieved by their client Arcelik following integration of UltraFlex induction heating solutions on the production line.

Arcelik is a major household appliance manufacturer. In view of the increased demand for their refrigerator line, they were looking to increase productivity and replace oxy-acetylene brazing with cleaner induction brazing for a new heat pump assembly line.

Until they reached out to UltraFlex, they were using a complex gas-flame brazing process, setting up a heat pump group of compressor, condenser and evaporator into fixture to prevent brazing damage. When the brazing was completed, they used manipulator to lift the group and put it into plastic chassis.

Arcelik contacted UltraFlex to provide an induction heating solution that would enable the brazing directly into the plastic chassis, thus eliminating time, potential brazing damage and expense.

UltraFlex Power Technologies proposed to its customer a completely innovative brazing solution, based on an integration with one of its best-selling induction systems - the Dragon 15 automated brazing system. Thanks to installing and integrating the RoboBraze and UR-5 Robot in their assembly line, Arcelik achieved a fully-automated brazing process, that guaranteed complete repeatability and consistency of the end result.

The company not only increased dramatically its productivity, freeing up employee time for quality inspection and monitoring of the process, but also improved safety by upgrading from gas-flame to induction brazing.
