MICHELLE DEERING will be returning to Rutgers to celebrate the worldwide release of her 2018 Author Academy Award-nominated best-selling book, "What Mothers Never Tell Their Daughters: 5 Keys to Building Trust, Restoring Connection, & Strengthening Relationships." The Author Academy Award nomination is for literary merit and publishing excellence in the writing and publishing industry.

DR. DEERING'S book tells the story of a daughter/mom of twins/psychologist as she shares five principles that will guide mothers and daughters through a proven process for improving the quality of their relationship.

Dr. Deering, a sexual abuse survivor, is coming back to her academic roots where she earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from the Graduate School of Education and had worked in the Residential Life Department and CAPS.
