Popular Holiday Shopping Program back to make the season merrier in the Long Beach Island Region

SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Sept. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- The members of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce remind shoppers that making the holidays merry and bright includes supporting local businesses while planning your season. Whether it is with gift giving, or outfitting your gathering, local businesses add value to the community. The regional chamber is continuing their program to help consumers locate shops and restaurants that are typically seasonal who have extended their hours for holiday shopping, services and dining. Launched last year, Holidays Redefined Shopping Program shared updated blogs and social postings featuring participating members who are open, as well as in store specials and holiday happenings beginning. It all begins with the chamber's Shop Small Saturday November 24 throughout the holiday shopping season.

Southern Ocean Chamber is raising awareness by working with local retailers who are open for gift giving or special services like gift wrapping, workshops or gift certificates; as well as restaurants providing dining, gift certificates and catering. The Holidays Shopping Redefined program will be issuing a Holiday Experience card for consumers to pick up at participating locations or Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center at 265 W Ninth Street, Ship Bottom NJ. Consumers can participate by stop into any five of the listed restaurants and any 5 of the listed retailers to get card validated. Then they can return completed card to the Southern Ocean Chamber office for entry into a raffle to win our Chowderfest Stocking Gift pack with mug, vintage Tee and Gift Certificate for 2019 Chowder Cook off Classic, in addition to other seasonal surprises donated by WJRZ 100.1FM. A perfect addition to anyone's wish list. The program will run from November 24 to Dec 17 2018 and the winner will be randomly selected on Tuesday Dec 18, 2018. No purchases are necessary.
