By: RIGHT ON! MEDIA
Right On!, a publication that was revered by fans who were enthralled with Motown's Jackson Five, was initially launched in 1971. The magazine, grew into a full-service entertainment publication, focusing on the latest trends in music, film, television and beauty/style. Throughout its illustrious history, Right On! was at the helm of the hip hop music movement and continued covering such artists as New Edition, Kurtis Blow, Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, TLC, LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, Salt-N-Pepa, SWV, Drake and Lil Wayne. In addition, the magazine is noted for exclusive coverage on deceased icons Aaliyah, Tupac Shakur, Big Pun, Eazy-E and The Notorious B.I.G. and other prominent artists.
"I am very excited about the rebirth of the magazine as a digital property," states Horner. "Although publishing has changed, readers will always love learning more information about their favorite celebrities. I'm thrilled about the exciting new developments that we have in store for our readers."

Although the editorial thrust focuses on such topics as contemporary celebrities, trends, film and television, health and wellness, social justice and videos, two of Horner's beloved friends, the late Michael Jackson and Prince, are featured in prominent stories on the home page as a testament to their influence in the entertainment business. Horner, who met Michael Jackson shortly after being appointed the editor of the magazine in 1976, is committed to keeping the King of Pop's legacy alive. The late Prince, another Right On! discovery, will continue to appear on the site through features and exclusive interviews provided by his former friends and colleagues.
Horner, who has been at the helm of at least a dozen well-known newsstand publications in her career, welcomes the opportunity to continue discovering new talent through strategic parternships which are being formed with the Riight On! Digital. Ken Simmons, Urban Music Writer/Producer ABC Network sums up the announcement of this new venture with a comment, "Michael Jackson would be so proud of you."
