Governor Charlie Baker Tours Symmons Industries, Inc. Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility

Governor Charlie Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito met with Tim O'Keeffe, CEO of Symmons Industries, Inc., today for a tour of Symmons' Corporate Headquarters and manufacturing facility. Part of the tour included a demonstration of Symmons' digital water management system for commercial properties, currently under development and as featured in the recent Boston Globe article, "Office dogs, yoga classes, good pay — welcome to the modern Mass. factory."

Of Symmons' upcoming 80th year in business in 2019, Governor Baker said, "It's very clear to me that your 80th birthday will just be one more milestone in the lifecycle of a very successful and terrific Massachusetts company." Governor Baker reconfirmed Symmons' contributions to Massachusetts' manufacturing industry, stating, "You are all part of a thriving, growing economy here in Massachusetts."

Tim O'Keeffe expressed gratitude to Governor Baker and the State of Massachusetts for state-funded grants for training Symmons team members, adding, "When we look ahead to the next 80 years, we see opportunities to combine our heritage as a quality manufacturer of plumbing products with emerging technologies focused on water management as a service.
