| ![]() Meet the Contractor Event - BournemouthBy: Napier Management Services The event which took place at the Village Hotel in Bournemouth, was free for local contractors to attend and was hosted by the 'Big 4' main local agents; Napier, Burns, Rebbecks and Hamilton Townsend, who between them manage over 500 blocks of flats across the region. Light refreshments were served between 2pm and 4pm and over 100 contractors attended. The idea for the event came about following competency checks which have been carried out on reputable suppliers for each agent, and it was decided it would be a good idea for the other agents to meet those companies who had already been checked to use a collaborative approach. Aileen Lacey-Payne of Napier said: "We thought it would be a good idea for us to all meet the contractors who are already approved providers to our colleagues and to hear a bit more about the services that they can provide. Some contractors were previously only working with one or two of the agents involved so this event provided a great platform for them to meet the other property managers with the aim of encouraging more work. Aileen added, "As ARMAQ agents we take all our responsibilities very seriously and if contractors have already passed the rigorous checks required by one or more of our counterparts, then it's a good starting point for us to look more closely at them to see whether Napier can work with them too."
