Don't Panic though. This Book is Chocked full of Systematic, yet Practical Truths to help. Remember that Life Races are often Won or Lost by the first Word
Your next words could impact millions for the betterment or ruination of civilizations, so choose them cautiously. With such an unprecedented opportunity, what will you say? Nothing comes to mind? Those are the same words that author and pastor James Langston tells his audience—most would only stare with wide-eyed astonishment. Langston also tells his readers that he too has failed many times to share his faith with the seeking, the curious and the inquisitive. "At that moment", he says, "I found myself not being able to think of a thing to say". Therefore to help readers through their unsureness, timidness and memory lapses, he wrote this simple, yet practical guidebook of instructions. "I wanted to equip the new and the seasoned Believer with the tools they will need to be an effective witness". The timely message of faith and hope that this book captures has stirred the hearts and lives of multiplied, multiplicities of multitudinous hundreds of millions the world over. Langston, a 1976 graduate of El Campo High School, is a retired naval officer, a husband, a father of six, a grandfather of fifteen and senior pastor of the Pilgrim Outreach Ministries. He has written fifteen books, recorded more than 600 sermon videos, and three-hundred Compact Discs (CD). James' naval assignments included the USS Dubuque (LPD-8) an Amphibious Transport Dock and the USS Fletcher (DD-992) a Spruance Class Destroyer. Computer Deck Chief in the Philippines, Y2K Coordination Officer in Italy, director of the navy's drug testing laboratory for recruits, and director of the navy's Information Technology communications school are billets that rounded out his shore assignments. "Sadly", Langston says, "if you asked five Christians the question, 'How to live a Christian life'? you probably would end up with ten different answers. The truth is most Christians have no clue what Christian living entails". "So, out of desperation they try to "fit in", or live life by a series of rules and regulations: James reiterates to the reader that if you read the book from cover to cover, fully commit yourself to the changes outlined, and then faithfully apply the godly principles in your life, your road of travel will conclude at the only place that answers life's myriad of questions – the Cross of Calvary. Langston's wholesome writings have helped to motivate and positively influence not only his Christian audience, but many unbelievers also struggling through life. His writings provide not only a sense of kindred spirit and positive input in negative situations, but they also hold the interest of the masses with wit, and good old common sense. The subject matter of Langston's manuscripts center on developing godly character, godly morals, wholesome living and family friendly values in its readers.
