Some of the more recent upgrades include the following organizations: · Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY · Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, CA · Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde, TX · United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY · Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, MD · Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV All of these organizations chose to upgrade for a multitude of reasons to reach their individual goals. Valley Presbyterian, for example, upgraded to meet CMS Promoting Interoperability (Meaningful Use Stage 3) requirements. They were also interested in leveraging the engine technology both now and in the future to expand their interoperability. They are planning to implement ITI and FHIR protocols with regional partners to meet Promoting Interoperability requirements. They will also be implementing web-based data exchange using RESTful API's. Additionally, the upgrade enabled them to consolidate vendors, as they moved from another HISP vendor to Summit's. "Being able to provide expert care and services throughout our community is the main goal at Valley Presbyterian Hospital", said Jeffrey Allport, VP and CIO at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. "We're able to do that by ensuring we are fully equipped with all of the latest in advancing technology, and up-to-date with all interoperability standards". The technology offers the same capabilities as Express Connect with improved performance and enhanced features and benefits. The new Centralized Platform Management provides all the power and functionality of Express Connect combined into one centralized interoperability platform. Users can continue to create unlimited inbound and outbound feeds, and unlimited scalability allows users to add deployments to support new facilities and future initiatives. Furthermore, any current interfaces are easily converted into the new engine. An Enhanced Graphical User Interface can be deployed for access by multiple users, negating the need to coordinate efforts to log into one, main server. The active data flow diagraming allows for context menu selection to easily build out connection points with a mouse-click, while visually identifying issues through status indicators. Other key features include: · Drummond Certification for 2015 · FHIR enabled (JSON and XML) · Built-in API for extendibility in connectivity and processing · Support for all of the latest interoperability standards and protocols (Web Services: HTTPS, XML, SMIME, SOAP, Supports ITI, PIX/PDQ, XCPD, XCA, XDM, and XDR IHE Standards). · Change tracking with easy rollback · Data Flow Analytics · Supports ALL existing Maps with extended data format support "We're proud to be able to deliver one comprehensive platform that will help our client's reach all of their interoperability needs, both now and in the future," said Ted Rossi, CEO at Summit Healthcare. "In this ever-changing industry, we truly believe Summit Exchange is a solution that is unmatched by any other integration engine on the market today."
