The Collection announces lineup of local talent highlighting concert series, Rock the Collection

VENTURA, Calif. - June 20, 2018 - PRLog -- Sponsored by Dignity Health Medical Group, The Collection at RiverPark invites patrons to rock and revel in the sounds of timeless classics with a lineup of family-friendly performances for the annual summer concert series, Rock the Collection.

Beginning July 5, guests are encouraged to grab their picnic chairs and blankets as the band stage at Collection Park features a renowned lineup of top cover bands straight from Ventura County's growing music scene. Musical stylings include a diverse selection of genres from pop to reggae to classic rock.

From 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. families can visit the Collection Park playground for an evening of free face painting provided by Sunny Smiles Dentistry for Children and Young Adults. Additionally, concert-goers can spoil their taste buds with locally sourced food and delicious drink offerings from Groupie Gardens and Rock the Picnic presented by The Annex Food Hall.

July 5:805's favorite seven-piece island style reggae band, Dirty Rice, lights up the band stage with the soulful sound of roots, rock, reggae and soothing vocal harmonies.

July 12: Relish in the sounds of rock, grunge, old school, hip-hop and pop with classically trained and locally acclaimed 80's invasion band Power Syndicate.

July 19:The next best thing to Journey, tribute band DSB delivers the signature sound of Steve Perry and company. High-energy stage production and accurate recreations of Journey classics have made DSB the #1 Journey tribute show in the world.

July 26: Guests 'come together' to witness the authentic sounds of The Beatles cover band, Sgt. Peppers. Enjoy the vintage instruments and Abbey Road clothing as Sgt. Peppers pays tribute to The Fab Four.

August 2: Event-goers will rock out to feel-good classic rock and 90's jams from the high energy, Ventura County based band, Unusual Suspects.

August 9: Hailing from the 805, Ignition lights a blast from the past, featuring iconic pop and rock sounds from the 60's to 90's.

August 16:Nominated for Ventura County Music Award's 2018 Best Cover Band of the Year, Zepp Heads brings a 'Whole Lotta Love' to Collection Park by conveying the classic sounds and dedicated musicianship of Led Zeppelin.

August 23: Ventura bred BOHICA will adorn The Collection's band stage, playing fan favorite hits from the past 5 decades.

August 30: Queen Nation brings Freddie Mercury's unrivaled stage persona to life at Collection Park, while preserving the celebrated image and sound of the coveted rock group, Queen.
