GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - April 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Adelphi University is working with local and national organizations to serve as a collection point for potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs on National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, on Saturday, April 28.

Collection of expired or unused drugs for disposal will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the University Center main lobby (see map).  Only pills or patches will be accepted – no liquids or needles or sharps. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

This will be the 15th time in seven years that the University has participated in the take-back effort, coordinated nationally by the Drug Enforcement Agency. The campus effort is coordinated by Adelphi's Alcohol and Other Drug Program along with its Department of Public Safety.
