"The new A4L strategic mission is to help marketplace providers develop solutions for end users using openly developed technical standards – no matter where they come from! In addition A4L's work in the area of student data privacy through the Student Data Privacy Consortium is a perfect fit for Project Unicorn's work moving forward." The Project Unicorn's Steering Committee's mission is to "use data to create better outcomes for students, save time for teachers, and increase efficiencies for schools. We've come together to create an uncommon alliance dedicated to furthering interoperability within the K-12 education space." The A4L's Community focus is on "enabling schools to better utilize learning information by implementing technology in a manner that leverages the promise and capabilities of interoperability between disparate applications." "The A4L Community is excited to partner with Project Unicorn in addressing persistent and new issues in the identification, management, movement and usage of educational information" The A4L Community has more than 20 years of experience in the interoperability space through the development of the SIF Specifications focused on K12 interoperability. The A4L Community has also embarked on industry leading work in student data privacy and security. The Community is excited to join the Steering Committee and add this work to the growing set of resources for the Project Unicorn community.
