| ![]() Small Business Class Starts May 21 in Cape CoralGoodwill's MicroEnterprise Institute is Accepting Applications
By: Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida The MicroEnterprise Institute is a six-week training program to help emerging entrepreneurs start new ventures and grow small businesses. Graduates complete a business plan and management training course, working with mentors who are successful businesspeople. "This program cleared my vision about business, gave me the tools to be brave enough to move forward, and made sure that I know what I need to know to proceed with caution. I can't thank this entire group enough," said Mary Ellen Bonelli, a recent graduate of the program. Classes will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Public Works Building, 815 Nicholas Pkwy, Cape Coral, FL 33990. "MicroEnterprise participants will hear from subject matter experts in the areas of accounting, legal, marketing, insurance and funding," said Sandra Plazas, Goodwill's Community Education Manager. To apply, visit www.goodwillswfl.org/ The Goodwill Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise Institute is administrated by the nonprofit Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida. Major funding is provided by the City of Cape Coral. Goodwill's programs in Southwest Florida also include, Job-Link Resource Centers, disability-accessible housing, and more. The retail stores collect and sell donated items and new goods, which help fund the services and programs offered in Southwest Florida. 89 cents of every dollar goes back into supporting Goodwill's programs and services in our Southwest Florida area.
