Savas Beatie LLC has Three Finalists for a Prestigious Book Award for 2017

 
EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. - March 2, 2018 - PRLog -- Savas Beatie, an award-winning independent publishing company specializing in military and general history titles distributed worldwide, has been notified that three of its titles are finalists for the 2017 Army Historical Foundation Distinguished Writing Award

The Army Historical Foundation is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of the American Soldier. The AHF Distinguished Writing Awards program was established in 1997 to recognize authors who make a significant contribution to the literature on U.S. Army history.

About the Authors: David A. Powell is a graduate of VMI and works in Chicago. He is nationally recognized for his tours of Chickamauga and is the author of award-winning books. Doug Crenshaw is a volunteer historic interpreter for the RichmondNationalBattlefieldPark. A member of the Richmond Civil War Roundtable, he is a speaker, presenter, tour leader, and the author of books on Glendale and FortHarrison. James S. Pula is aProfessor of History at Purdue University Northwest. The author and editor of more than two dozen books on immigration history and the American Civil War, he is currently the editor-in-chief of Gettysburg Magazine.
