MANHATTAN, N.Y. - Feb. 14, 2018 - PRLog -- Did the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Director Kim Sajet violate the Hatch Act by participating in and then posting content from the anti-Trump Women's March on the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery's @NPGDirector's official Twitter feed?

The investigation by U.S. Office of Special Counsel Chief Mrs. Ana Galindo-Marrone and Hatch Act Unit Attorney Kelley Nobriga concluded at first that although they found that Kim Sajet had used the @NPGDIrector account to post the protest participating images and pro 'Women's March' hashtags on the official Twitter feed, that Kim Sajet had not violated the Hatch Act.

The Hatch Act law states that : "A Covered Employee...MAY NOT post a comment to a blog or a social media site that advocates for or against a partisan political party, candidate for partisan political office or partisan political group.

MAY NOT use an e-mail account or social media to distribute, send, or forward content that advocates for or against a partisan political party, candidate for partisan political office or partisan political group."

Strangely the Office of Special Counsel, although stating that the posts had in fact been made, concluded that the 'Women's March' organization for now, was not a 'partisan political group'!  The group led by hard core leftist activist Linda Sarsour openly proclaims their ideology and leftist objectives on their website Women'smarch.org.

The remarkable parsing of legal definitions to apparently resist charging Kim Sajet with Hatch Act violations which was brought to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel's attention is now under review.

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel even admitted that the former official Smithsonian account had now been changed from @NPGDirector to @kimsajet, stripping it of official standing.  Did the Smithsonian Institution itself manipulate and change the evidence in its attempts to deflect the investigation?
