IRS Appoints Local Florida Treasure Coast Enrolled Agent As New Advisory Council Member

STUART, Fla. - Feb. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Washington, D.C. - The Internal Revenue Service has announced the appointment of seven new members to the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC), and one is from Stuart, Florida. Enrolled Agent, Jeffrey Schneider, EA, CTRS, NTPIF, CEO of SFS Tax & Accounting Services and SFS Tax Problem Solutions passed a comprehensive review before being appointed to the Office of Professional Responsibility subgroup.

The IRSAC, established in 1953, is an organized public forum for IRS officials and representatives of the public to discuss various issues in tax administration. The council provides the IRS Commissioner with relevant feedback, observations, and recommendations. It will submit its annual report to the agency at a public meeting in November 2018.

The IRS strives to appoint members to the IRSAC who represent the taxpaying public, the tax professional community, small and large businesses, academia and the payroll community.

Mr. Schneider has been appointed to serve a three-year appointment on the council beginning in 2018.

Jeffrey Schneider is an Enrolled Agent, a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS), a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI),  Past President of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents, the Palm Beach Chapter and Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents and a Director on the Board of the National Society of Enrolled Agents (NSEA).
