Upcoming IEEE Session to Address the Topic of "Power Plant Cycling Causality"

The topic of cycling causality will be addressed at the Jan 2018 IEEE PES Joint Technical Committee meeting.

LITTLETON, Colo. - Dec. 18, 2017 - PRLog -- Renewable Impacts LLC (RI) announced today that James R. Schetter, its President, will be a presenter at the upcoming IEEE PES Joint Technical Committee Meeting.  Mr. Schetter will present on Tuesday January 9th on the topic of power plant cycling causality at the "J18 Impact of Inverter-based Sources on Rotating Machinery" session.

Power plant cycling causality covers the cause and effect relationships between individual dispatchable power plants and all interconnected resources and loads within a balancing authority. Cycling causality analysis can identify the parties responsible for cycling and the degree of their responsibility.

"I was pleased to receive and accept the IEEE invitation to speak at the upcoming IEEE Technical Committee meeting." said James R. Schetter, President of Renewable Impacts LLC. Mr. Schetter added, "The J18 session is a great opportunity for all interested parties to join in a discussion of cycling causality dynamics between renewable energy generators and the interconnected grid."

The IEEE PES Joint Technical Committee meeting will be held in Jacksonville, FL from January 7-11, 2018. All sessions are open to IEEE members and non-members. Registration required. For meeting details see: www.pestechnical.org/default.asp
