Shore Builders Association Installs New President and Board at Annual Year-End Event

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Dec. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- Shore Builders Association installed their 2018 President, Michael J. Kokes, as well as the new Officers, and Board of Directors during their annual Year End Celebration on December 6, 2017, at the Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, New Jersey. With a room full of builder and associate members, long-time association member and builder, Henry J. Kelly, Jr. of the Kelly Group provided a brief history of the multi-generational families that comprise the homebuilding association just before he introduced Michael's father, Jan Kokes, who performed his son's installation as President of the association. "Bringing back esteemed past presidents has always been a tradition for our annual installation, and we were so honored to have Henry J. Kelly take to the podium to remind us of our rich history of builder members. In addition, to the Kokes family, we have many builder families that have been active members of this association since its founding in 1945," explained Gina McNamara, Executive Officer of Shore Builders Association.

In addition to Hank J. Kelly, attending the installation were association past presidents David Fisher, Corey Wescoe, Linda Bernaski, Dwight Pittenger, John Cummins and immediate past president Tom Bovino. The association and its membership would like to congratulate the newly installed Officers including Christopher Amato, 1^st Vice President; Thomas McGrath, Vice President of Associates; James Pittenger, Treasurer; and Kim Manicone, Secretary; as well as the new members of the Board of Directors.

Newly installed President, Michael J. Kokes, has a clear vision for the association in 2018, which will build on, and continue, the momentum that immediate past president Tom Bovino has set forward. One of Michael's objectives for the coming year will be to increase the strength of the association through membership growth. In guiding new members in making the association work for them by providing opportunities for engagement, relevancy of events and initiatives, and ensuring value in membership, Michael believes the association will attract and retain more members in the coming year.

All members, as well as prospective members, are invited to the upcoming Economic Forecast breakfast meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, January 31, 2018. "I look forward to seeing all our members at the first event of the new year, our Economic Forecast, which is always a well-attended event focusing on information pertinent to the state of our industry in the coming year," explains Kokes. "I urge all members to join us at the Jumping Brook Country Club for this informative presentation by Stephen Melman, Director, Economic Services of NAHB, there will also be networking, and the opportunity to wish your fellow members a Happy New Year," Kokes continues.

In addition to the Economic Forecast meeting in January, Shore Builder's annual FAME Awards will be held on Thursday, March 8th at the South Gate Manor in Freehold. The awards event will feature a 2-hour cocktail networking reception and open bar beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by the presentation of the winners in all categories.
