Martin Luther King Jr. Stop The Violence Event Celebrates 19th Year In Silicon Valley

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Dec. 13, 2017 - PRLog -- The MLK Stop The Violence Event is the longest running youth-led event in Santa Clara County. Celebrating 19 years, the annual MLK Stop The Violence Event is hosted by the PARTI Program and features Motivational Speakers, Entertainment, Youth Service Training, VIP Reception, Prayer for Peace, Fashion Show, and Talent Showcase.

This year's event emphasizes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s commitment to "Doing For Others" and "Taking A Stand!"

The 2018 MLK Stop The Violence Event is sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and the City of San Jose. Their sponsorship will support PARTI Program and partnering organizations in the Bay Area who are engaging thousands of youth in service events, projects, programs, and recognition ceremonies.

Our goal is to engage 1,000 young philanthropists, ages 5-25 years old in Bay Area regions, beginning January 13, 2018, (Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Weekend) and culminating with Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) 2018.
