DataFile Technologies Joins CommonWell Health Alliance
DataFile has joined CommonWell to continue Cultivating and Connecting Healthcare Data Experts™.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Oct. 25, 2017 - PRLog -- DataFile Technologies has joined the more than 70 progressive organizations that are enabling secure and ubiquitous health data exchange as members of CommonWell Health Alliance. As a General Member, DataFile looks forward to working alongside CommonWell in its journey to revolutionize how the exchange of health information is accomplished.
CommonWell is a not-for-profit trade association that has deployed a nationwide health data exchange capability through its diverse community of members that include a critical mass of EHR vendors and other stakeholders. Its vision is that health data should be available to individuals and providers regardless of where care occurs. The Alliance also believes that provider access to this data must be built into health IT at a reasonable cost to both providers and patients. Both of these factors are key for streamlining the exchange of health information and increasing interoperability.
DataFile provides advanced health information management outsourcing services including providing a "compliance gateway" for provider organizations. The key aspect of this service is the rapid turnaround time for medical record processing, which is a fraction of the industry standard. DataFile seamlessly combines technology and automation, and adds the critical human connection element to the medical records process.
"We know from our experience with release of information that many provider organizations value a partner who can ensure disclosures of health data which require authorizations are done in a compliant fashion," said Scott Stuewe, Director of Strategy and Interoperability for DataFile. "We are extremely excited by the potential of the network infrastructure of CommonWell and its ability to support the compliant flow of data to requestors of all types. We look forward to collaborating with the impressive array of industry players within the Alliance to make compliant exchange as flexible, efficient and cost-effective as possible."
DataFile hopes to work together with CommonWell to help providers nationwide enable secure, efficient and accurate access to their patients' records in order to provide the best care possible. CommonWell Executive Director Jitin Asnaani has stated, "As CommonWell works with its members and end-users to enable new services to the benefit of providers and the patients that they serve, an organization like DataFile with their expertise in health information management is certain to make a significant contribution."
DataFile Technologies provides turn-key services to streamline, standardize and centralize health information management and clinical workflows for healthcare organizations of all types and sizes.
