TEMPE, Ariz. - Aug. 16, 2017 - PRLog -- Ellen Dayan, owner of Tiger Lily Dress Shop, was selected as the winner, of the first "Costume Design Contest" put on by Arizona Apparel Foundation and sponsored by Yandy.com, leading retailer of specialty apparel for women.  Her creative design encompassed fabric and theme elements that resemble the phoenix bird. The symbolic nature of the design lends toward a reflection of what AAF and the F.A.B.R.I.C. building have risen from to become what the organizations are today.  Whether that was the intention or not, the design, Ellen Dayan created couldn't be more perfect and represent Arizona and what's happening with the fashion industry coming to life in a fast and furious way.

The winning costume design will be produced and manufactured in limited quantities by Arizona Apparel Foundation and Yandy.com for the Halloween season.  Yandy.com is known for their cutting edge and fashion-minded costumes so to have them involved and supporting the winning designer, from the fabric choices all the way through to the production, is a huge opportunity.  In addition, the winner, Ellen Dayan, will have their name included in a branded custom clothing tag/label alongside AAF and Yandy.com.

A percentage of the sales for the costumes sold through Yandy.com will benefit Arizona Apparel Foundation in support of the AAF Inaugural Halloween Masquerade Ball Benefit which will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at F.A.B.R.I.C., located at 132 E Sixth Street, Tempe, AZ85281.

For more information on the winning costume and how to pre-order contact Arizona Apparel Foundation at Phone: 602-743-4638 or info@azapparelfoundation.com, F.A.B.R.I.C., 132 East 6th Street, Tempe, AZ85281
