Follow on Google News | Pop Star Goes Country For His CountryTeen Star JP Vance Officially Releases New Hit Song 'This Is America'
By: JP Vance The teen singer says that his motive for this song was, as a world-traveling performer, his love of his homeland and his appreciation of it every time he returns home. He said that this song could not have come at a better time since the nation faces economic and social challenges like deep division along political lines. Vance embraced a new style of music in an attempt to embrace all Americans and share his love of his homeland. "Living in China, I had been influenced by K-pop and J-pop bands and that shaped my early career," says Vance. "Staying in USA these past years, I discovered country music and it is the perfect style for this new song." JP Vance was born in Portland, Oregon. He was raised from ages 2 to 12 in Beijing, China, and appreciates both China and America. He sings, speaks, reads and writes at native levels in both English and Chinese. Having lived abroad, he has a great vantage point to relate how great America is for him. Vance was discovered at age 5, quite by accident in Beijing by Motown recording artist Bobby Taylor. Taylor is also known for discovering Michael Jackson. Bobby made two albums with JP Vance who went on to record a number one song in China "Girl in Beijing" when he was 12-years-old. See the music video at: http://youtu.be/ JP Vance will donate a percentage of earnings from "This is America" to veterans in memory of his grandfather, Felix. Vance hopes his patriotism will be a catalyst for keeping America the greatest country in the world. He hopes you will listen to his new song "This is America" and dreams of singing the song at major sports events across America and aspires to entertain at the White House someday. # # # JP VANCE is available for interviews.
