Follow on Google News | Two Groups of College of Business Administration Students Recently Competed in Sales CompetitionBy: Kent State College of Business Administration Seventy top universities were in attendance with 140 sales competitors, including Auburn University, Texas A&M University, Florida State University and Purdue University. Kent State students were able to meet with recruiters from 45 companies, including Proctor & Gamble, Groupon, ThyssenKrupp Elevator, Comcast Spotlight and HP. Eight College of Business Administration students formed this year's sales team after being selected through competition tryouts. Alexandra Nemeth and Brenna Berry competed in the Sales Case Management and placed second out of six competitors. In the role play competition, Brittany Saraniti placed third while Kyle Burke placed fourth. Jacob Matey and Alexis Rains competed in the Speed Selling competition and both came in third for their individual rounds. Alternates Brian MacEwan and Katherine MacPherson assisted as student coaches. In addition, Associate Lecturer of marketing and entrepreneurship at Kent State University Stark Campus Don Thacker accompanied 17 Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) students to Cincinnati from Nov. 3-6. Students competed in the Pro/Am Sales Competition hosted by Miami University. Jordon Marich and Richard Wilson were both finalists in the Speakers Competition. "These are terrific opportunities to showcase our students to corporate recruiters from across the country, enable our students to compete against their peers from other universities and continue to represent Kent State University nationwide," PSE is a professional fraternity specializing in the advancement of sales, marketing and management professions.
