Axiomtek's Newest Compact Network Appliance for SOHO Network Security Applications – The NA345

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. - Nov. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Axiomtek, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, is proud to announce the NA345, a compact network security appliance featuring the latest low power consumption Intel® Atom™ x5-E3930 processor (1.8 GHz), which is based on Intel®'s next generation entry-level Internet of Things Group (IoTG) platform with 14nm silicon process technology. This compact network appliance features four Gigabit Ethernet ports (Intel® i211 controller) and one optional pair LAN bypass to protect important communications during power outages – making it highly reliable and perfectly suited for small office/home office (SOHO) network security applications. For extensive storage needs, this network appliance also comes with one mSATA and 2.5" SATA hard disk drive. The compact NA345 is equipped with a low power consumption processor and high system stability to deliver significant benefits in performance and total cost of ownership, giving customers a higher return on their investment. This slim type network appliance is an ideal solution for VPNs, content filtering, Unified Threat Management systems (UTM), network security gateways, and firewalls.

The NA345 also comes with rich I/O options including two USB 3.0 ports, a serial console port, four RJ-45 console connectors and an HDMI port. The system's internal PCI Express Mini Card socket enables the addition of Wi-Fi/3G/4G/LTE wireless cards for extensive communication options. The NA345 supports one DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM slot with maximum of up to 8GB memory. Front-facing LED indicators are available for convenient monitoring of power, hard disk status, link activity with transfer rate, and LAN bypass. Moreover, to ensure reliable operation, the NA345 supports watchdog timer. This compact network communication platform is compatible with Windows® 10 and Linux (Yocto project) operating systems.
