To attend, one does not need to already know how to dance; the event is open to all. After the lessons, the guests will dance to live swing music, performed by the Fort Harrison Band. There will be several opportunities for donations to PAL, including a traditional cake walk, for a chance to win a cake. Since 2001, the Pinellas Sheriff's Police Athletic League in Lealman has provided tutoring, mentoring and sports activities to youth who seek adult guidance, enjoy sports, or need after school help. "We are open to charities and non-profit organizations to hold their own events in the Fort Harrison," continued Ms. Mansell.
