HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Oct. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Tec-Masters, Inc. is proud to kick-off the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) Fall Semester of Mentor Interns (MINTs). As part of the MPP, the Historically Black College and University (HBCU)/Minority Institutions (MI) Program Office (HPO) provides student interns with job ready entry level skills to assist the Protégé, MartinFederal Consulting.

Tec-Masters and MartinFederal Consulting, designated as an 8(a) Minority Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVOSB) Certified Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), began this MPP Agreement in 2015 and have already achieved success partnering together, demonstrated by a Government Contract award.

The NGA MPP solicits prime contractors to act as Mentors to assist small and SDB's in developing technical and business capabilities that will help them compete successfully for prime contracts and subcontracts. NGA specifically selects Mentor-Protégé Agreements that are creative, unique, and provide a 50 percent Technology Transfer component for the Mentor in areas that include: Geo-Intelligence, Visualization, Electromagnetic Spectrum (all forms), Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TPED), Persistent Surveillance, Compressing Timelines, Horizontal Integration, Robust forward Deployment, and Multi-INT.  Specifically, TMI will provide mentoring to MartinFederal in the areas of Technology Transfer, Business Development, and other Business Systems and Processes.

"We are honored to have a Mentor Protégé agreement approved by NGA for TMI to serve as a Mentor to MartinFederal," said Dr. Marvin P. Carroll, TMI President/CEO. "The MPP allows us to partner with, and assist, a small business to further provide exceptional products and services to the Government. Successful MPPs produce a win-win scenario for everyone involved. The MINTs add a further layer of assistance to aid in the Protégé's success."

"MartinFederal is grateful and honored to be a Protégé to Tec-Masters and to be a part of the NGA MPP," says Corey Martin, President of MartinFederal. "Tec-Masters is a strong company and Mentor, and we continue to expand our offerings with their assistance. We also have great plans for MINT assistance this Semester. Not only will the MINTs provide a valuable service to MartinFederal, but they are learning on the job skills they can use toward their educations and future careers."

As a part of the program, Alabama State University (ASU), a HBCU, will partner with Tec-Masters to assist MartinFederal in developing Quality Systems such as ISO and CMMI Certifications.

Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, TMI has supported the Defense Industry and Commercial Customers since 1988. The company specializes in Mission Support, System Integration, Maintenance, Training, Creative Multimedia, Logistics, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Development, and Customized Engineering and Manufacturing.
