KITCHENER, Ontario - Oct. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Cambridge pro fighter Robert James Thomas can do it all and he is proving it in the boxing and kickboxing ring at the elite level.  Robert made his professional boxing debut a short 6 weeks ago in Erie, Pennsylvania via a 2nd round TKO and is already ranked among the top 20 Cruiserweights in Canada.  This 23 year old pugilist likes to stay busy honing his fighting abilities.

This Friday on October 21st,  at the Glory 34 Professional Kickboxing pay per view in Denver, Colorado, he will be coming in as the #4 ranked Middleweight in the world and a win at this tournament will instantly guarantee Rob a title shot.

Robert has a solid team with kickboxing and boxing knowledge guiding him to this fight.

Robert started martial arts training at 14 with Kru Cris Kew, and at the age of 20, he made his Professional Kickboxing debut against the #1 ranked Middleweight in the world.  Kru Chris has been working daily with Robert in preparation for this fight, and says, "Rob has all 6 of his weapons and is ready for the tournament. He can get a knockout with his fists, with the knees or his viscious kicks."

Robert has former #1 world ranked pro boxer Syd 'The Jewel" Vanderpool' overseeing his boxing development along with boxing trainer Derek Lacey.  Lacey is confident about the outcome of this upcoming fight saying,  "Our strength is in our cohesive team and preparation.  We all understand  and are committed to what needs to be done to see Robert be victorious."

Alongside his Kickboxing Career, Robert  made his Professional Boxing debut in Erie, PA this September, with a victorious 2nd round TKO.  With his boxing coaches Syd Vanderpool, and Derek Lacey of Boxing by Syd in Kitchener, Ontario, Robert feels confident that as a boxer he has an advantage over the competition, and will use his more technical hand game to his advantage.  A true student of the sport, his training regime is not for the weak hearted, but his passion for competition in the ring fuels his drive in both kickboxing and boxing.

Robert  flies out to Denver with his team on Tuesday, October 18th, for media engagements and  for his final prep for this event. Robert's fight will be airing on EPSN 2 and is available on Pay Per View  on the Glory Kickboxing website
