EU FMD Serialisation Technology Day Event

The European Union Falsified Medicines Directive (EU FMD) legislation, amongst other things, requires European pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers to uniquely identify all individual product packages and register them in a European database. Products will then be authenticated at the point of dispense in pharmacies to help ensure that they are legitimate and still fit for use. The legislation primarily targets the very serious and increasing threat of counterfeit drugs harming patients.
