HOUSTON - Sept. 30, 2016 - PRLog -- If you don't know these guys yet, you will soon. Their 2nd show is tonight at BFE Rock Club.

"This is most definitely true! U gotta get out and have fun, and music is the 1st thing everyone in the world can enjoy!!!" ~Jacob Kitchens (Vocals)

One day in June, my good friend Mr. Khris Harding calls. He begins to tell me he was going to be in a music video in a few days, and he is leaving on tour for a few weeks. I asked, "What music video, and what band?" Like as if he was speaking Greek. He mumbles, "Some new band, I haven't heard them yet, no one has."

Okay, some guys no one has ever heard of making a music video? In my mind, he is completely full of it. He was full of Virus Vodka they were drinking at Scout, while producing the video for this new band.

Lies of an Alibi – Introduction Released July 22, 2016. youtu.be/OaMUikSNbA0

LOAA announces who they are with Facebook post and YouTube video. Simply genius!

This newly formed band secretly practiced for a full year in silence. Still this brand new band no one knows is opening for The Hunger and Saturate. Completely baffled, I call Khris. He is at Scout and says, "Come on up." He is with Raf Rivera (Guitar/ The Hunger). He introduces me to Jay Kannon. We discuss his new band, new video, and he invites me to his show.  As I am leaving, Jay is following me.

"You gunna come see my band right? We are good, you will like us I promise you will be surprised!" Jay Kannon (Guitar/Vocals).

I respond nonchalant, " I guess, but I am really coming to see The Hunger never miss them."

Aug 12, 2016, bam! Here is my friend, Khris Harding, in this teaser video acting as a bar tender and infecting his patrons with Punkstar's favorite Virus Vodka. I was absolutely shocked. The video is fantastic!

Released, August 26, 2016, Lies of an Alibi - Freak Like Me Official Music Video

youtu.be/JUbbZv3ynGo

The single, "Freak Like Me", is available on iTunes and spotify. It's  playing on Punkstar Radio. Seriously, LOAA's 1st  music video has hit over 4000 views in a matter of days. Today, over 5000 views. WOW!

The band are guest on Punkstar FULL Throttle, I meet: Jacob Kitchens (Vocals), Antho Mikel (Guitar), Will Rollz (Drums), Alex Robertson (Bass), and Jay Kannon (Guitar/Vocals). They are all just charming, very appealing, smart and handsome.

Labor Day Weekend, Lies of an Alibi is on stage playing for the 1st time in front of 650 people. Not what one you would call a small crowd. Khris Harding and Chris Calderas introduce them. LOAA came out with such a dynamic and energetic fresh style; the audience goes ballistic over them. Ladies in the crowd are screeching like The Beetles showed up. LOAA was Explosive!

The sound is rocking light and upbeat, but a tight poppy punk metal mixture. LOAA reminded me of the flair and fresh style performances of old SUM41. Entering into the era of a new day, after screaming and screeching sounds of hardcore death metal filled the airwaves. Resembling an almost familiar and similar forceful presence, airing ripping fun sound and clean vocals, which is unique from everyone else. I am ready to call the biggest record labels. LOAA looked like they had played that stage and that crowd a million times before! Lies of an Alibi definitely invaded Scout Bar and conquered this night.

Make no mistake, Lies of an Alibi will be a force to be reckoned. Not sissy by any means, but the nicest group of guys you could ever meet. They are down to earth, talented, fresh young, energetic, very appreciative, passionate and genuinely kind dudes. Truly loveable, yet fierce! Unstoppable!

LOAA's  3rd show is October 8th at the annual Pasadena Rodeo and Cook Off.  Now recording, they just finished 3 new tracks. Look for Lies of an Alibi's debut album April 2017.
