COCOA BEACH, Fla. - Sept. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- "If you help enough people reach success, you will succeed!"—Jaimie Engle

The Florida Council of Teachers of English has chosen Jaimie Engle as a Keynote Speaker for this year's conference to be held on October 13th-15th, 2016, at the International Palms Resort in historic Cocoa Beach, Florida, at 1300 North Atlantic Avenue. The Florida Council of Teachers of English's (FCTE) annual professional development conference will have something for everyone.Attendees will converse with past and present peers while exploring excellence and ethics in the English/Language Arts classrooms throughout the state.

"FCTE prides itself on presenting breakout authors at our annual conference," shares Kristin Pitts, 2016 Program Chair. "But Jaimie Engle is more than a new YA author; she is a bundle of energy with a knack for hooking readers as well as future writers. She is a teacher at heart!"

Jaimie will be presenting to the organization, in a special breakout session, and in a special event with award-winning student writers from across the state.

·          BREAKOUT: Have you ever dreamed of writing a novel? Where do you begin and how do you find time? In this breakout session, award-winning author Jaimie Engle takes you through finding ideas, outlining, and getting ready to start your book. With National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) starting in November, what better time to get started?

·          KEYNOTE: The writer's journey is not unlike the hero's journey. There are plot twists, highs, and lows that push the story forward and bring growth by "The End." Listen to author Jaimie Engle share her story of heartbreak, fulfillment, and everything in between as she experienced her own hero's journey.

"It's very exciting to be able to share what I've learned about being a novelist with young writers," shares Jaimie Engle. "There's nothing like experiencing the raw talent of a young person and cultivating it, even if it's just through one or two solid points that they take home."

The Florida Council of Teachers of English is a non-profit organization promoting communication, collaboration, and educational knowledge among all responsible for teaching English and the language arts.
