Mydoma CEO, Sarah Daniele, Goes Back To School To Support Students

Daniele to offer free tech to students as part of partnership with Algonquin College, her alma mater

OTTAWA, Ontario - Sept. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Co-founder and CEO of Mydoma Inc. Sarah Daniele, returned to her alma mater, Algonquin College on Friday September 16. She was there to help students in the Interior Decorating Program learn practical skills that they can use when running their future design businesses. Daniele graduated from Algonquin's Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design Program in 2009. While working as a designer, Daniele realized that the software designers were using to manage their projects were not ideal so she opted to create her own, Mydoma Studio.

Starting this month, Mydoma Studio will be used as a teaching tool at various colleges across North America as part of an Educator Partners program, including Algonquin college. The schools participating will receive free licenses for students while they are in school as well as access to exclusive content and learning resources.

Last Friday, Daniele delivered a presentation to a class taught by Professor Diana Delaney which focuses on business skills as part of this initiative.

Second-year Interior Decorating student Deirdre Crick is already using the software to work with a client. "We're very excited to start using the program. Meeting Sarah, Alicia and Marco and having them explain Mydoma to us was a great experience and I think we all benefitted from the one on one instruction. I think this software is going to make our lives as students and decorators much more enjoyable." Said Crick.

Jacqueline Desrochers is another student who's really enjoying the experience so far. "As a student enrolled in the Interior Decorating program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, I was introduced to a new software created by Sarah Daniele called Mydoma Studio. So far, it's exciting, user-friendly and simplifies my world in design. Finally a software that is easy breezy lemon squeezy :)" said Desrochers.

Daniele hopes that her software along with the practical skills being taught by the Professors she is partnering with will enable students to avoid some of the challenges she faced when she first entered into her career.

"I was overly stressed in my design career, overwhelmed with project organization and meeting client expectations. I created Mydoma Studio because I wanted to spend more time on what I loved; designing." Says Daniele.

Daniele is very excited about the fact that she's able to offer this technology to students today that didn't even exist when she graduated. She's also looking forward to working with many more students in years to come.

Mydoma Studio is a cloud-based SaaS company that allows interior design professionals to manage projects, collaborate with clients, accept payments, contracts, build a product catalog, and sell design packages.
